Brian Anderson

Chief Technology Officer

Brian Anderson has served as NIC’s Chief Technology Officer since April 2019. In this role, Anderson serves as the leader of NIC’s technology strategy. He guides research & development including initiatives that enhance citizen experience for digital government – including custom development, mobile platforms and quick-code solutions. Prior to NIC, Anderson spent the majority of his career at Lexmark, starting in development and product management before becoming Chief Technology Officer for the Enterprise Software Division. He was later appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Lexmark International. His passion for driving innovation shows in his volunteer positions as Vice-Chair of the Kansas City Technology Council and a post on the United Way of Greater Kansas City Consumer Products team. Anderson is a Kansas City native with a degree in computer science from the University of Kansas.
