NIC was founded on the principle of being the best partner government has ever had. While we offer services to all government branches, we started by serving state governments.
Our company started in 1992 by partnering with the State of Kansas to provide citizens with access to government services online. Since then, we’ve planted/opened offices and operations state-by-state in capital cities to include more than 30 states in the NIC network, spanning from Maine to Hawaii.
The NIC state business model was created to make work easier for state governments and access to services easier for citizens. Our unique funding models and statewide contract agreements allow us to help innovate alongside all government agencies across the state enterprise, creating efficiencies and breaking down silos. We’re also able to utilize our network to share innovations across the nation!
