COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) has selected South Carolina's official state website,, as a Silver Winner for the 2013 W³ Awards and as a Silver Award for the 2013 Davey Awards in the Government Website category. The W³ Award honors creative excellence on the web and the Davey Awards focuses on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms worldwide. Both programs recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programs. The online promotional video was also selected as a Silver Winner for the 2013 W³ Awards. The W³ Awards and the Davey Awards each received over 4,000 entries.

The site provides numerous online resources to citizens and businesses of the Palmetto State, including information on living and working in South Carolina, state agency contacts and interactive maps. The portal also provides more than 160 interactive services which allow users to complete personal and business transactions online.

The portal is developed and managed at no cost to the state and is the result of a unique public-private partnership between the South Carolina Budget and Control Board and South Carolina Interactive, the state of South Carolina's partner for online government services.
