MONTGOMERY, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The official website of the Elections Division of the Alabama Secretary of State,, was presented with a silver award in the government category of the Davey Awards earlier this month. This is the first award for the Elections Division from the Davey Awards. The site, which launched mid-year as an extension of the official Secretary of State website, provides citizens with pertinent voter and election information.

Website visitors have access to several tools and features including the following:

About the Elections Division of the Alabama Secretary of State

The Elections Division assists the Secretary of State in carrying out his duties as the Chief Election Official for the State of Alabama. Responsibilities of the Elections Division include, but are not limited to, oversight of voter registration and absentee, military and overseas voting, providing guidance to election officials related to pre-election procedures, managing election day activities and post-election procedures, providing guidance to candidates and political action committees with Fair Campaign Practices Act ("FCPA") compliance, and the filing of documents and results related to state elections and FCPA.
