Faulkner County, Arkansas Sheriff's Office Launches New Payment Processing Service

Credit card payments now accepted in person

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Customers can now make payments in person to the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office with any major credit/debit card. Payments can be made for circuit fines, accident reports, incident reports, civil process fees, writ payments, and exotic animal permit fees via the new encrypted card swipe devices now available at the sheriff's office.

"We're pleased to offer this new payment option," Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Fiscal Officer Angie Wooley said. "Not everyone carries cash with them, so our hope is that this added convenience will make it easier for people to pay their fines and fees." Wooley also noted that although the office doesn't accept personal checks, they will continue to accept cash, cashier's checks, and money orders.

The office is located at 801 Locust St., Conway, AR, and is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A photo ID is required, without exception, to make a payment with a credit or debit card.

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office partnered with the state's digital government service provider, Information Network of Arkansas (INA) to bring this convenient payment service to more than 122,227 county residents. INA developed the secure payment system, which ensures privacy, security, and data integrity, and provided the encrypted card swipe devices, reporting tools, and ongoing system maintenance at no cost to the county. Credit card transactions include a processing fee incurred by the user to cover the cost of the system.
