Outdoor Alabama Mobile App Now Available on iTunes

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - 10/29/2012

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is proud to announce its first-ever mobile application now available on iTunes. The iPhone application, Outdoor Alabama, offers a variety of useful tools and information for on-the-go hunters, anglers and outdoorsman throughout the state of Alabama and can be downloaded for free by visiting the Apple iTunes store.

Some of the convenient features of the Outdoor Alabama app include:

  • Access to ADCNR hunting and fishing license sales and other ADCNR online services
  • Ability to report your harvest through the ADCNR website
  • Access to hunting and fishing regulations as well as fish identification information
  • Personalized trophy case for logging and sharing your trophy harvest with friends
  • Near Me mapping for locating wildlife management areas
  • ADCNR Facebook and news feed access

“The Outdoor Alabama app was developed with hunters, anglers, and other outdoor enthusiasts in mind,” said N. Gunter Guy, Jr., ADCNR Commissioner. “This app gives them access to the state’s best outdoor adventures via their smartphone. We encourage everyone to explore this app and share their outdoor experiences with other users.”
